Since 2000 UDB is full and equal member and the unique representative from Ukraine in International Dance Organization (IDO), who performs European and World Championships in different types of modern dances: Hip hop, Disco Dance, Disco Show Dance, Dance Show, Break Dance, Electric Boogie, Argentine Tango, Belly Dance, Character/Folk/Ethnic Dance, Tap Dance and many others. UDB members are world champions in Disco Dance, Tap Dance, Break Dance, world championship prize-winners in Disco Dance, Hip hop, Argentine Tango and Tap Dance, world championship finalists in Hip hop, Disco Dance, Tap Dance, Dance Show and Belly Dance.
UDB adjudicators work at World and European championships in different trends of modern dance, held by IDO, open championships of countries, prestigious international competitions.
Due to constant rise of the number of dance organizations, clubs and modern dancers in UDB, the Committee for modern dance of UDB was reorganized in 2005 into an independent all-Ukrainian public organization - Ukrainian Modern Dance Federation (UMDF), registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on May 5, 2006, registration certificate № 2448.
It is exactly UMDF who received an exclusive right from UDB to conduct elimination championships of Ukraine in modern dances for IDO European and World championships. I am glad to welcome you in the enchanting world of dance! Since 2000 the Modern Dance Committee was working successfully in Ukrainian Dance Board (UDB), the latter being a member of International Dance Organіzation (IDO). UDB conducted rating competitions and elimination championships of Ukraine for European and World championships in Hip Hop, Disco, Dance Show, Disco Show, Break Dance, Electric Boogie, Tap Dance, Argentine Tango and Belly Dance. Since 2005 there are salsy clubs in UDB, an agreement on cooperation was signed with National Choreographic Union of Ukraine, aimed at participation of folk-dance ensembles in European and world championships. UDB contributed substantially to popularization of different trends in modern dances of Ukraine, the number of groups and participating dancers was growing every day. That is why the Modern Dance Committee was reorganized in all-Ukrainian public organization under the name "Ukrainian Modern Dance Federation" (UMDF), registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on May 5, 2006, registration certificate no. 2448. On the basis of the agreement, signed with UDB, UMDF received an exclusive right to hold elimination championships of Ukraine for European and world championships, organized and held by International Dance Organіzation (IDO).
In the previous dance season the UDB championships of Ukraine in different trends of modern dance were held on high organizational level, involving great number of participants and qualified adjudicators' panel. We are proud by the fact that the strongest ones win in our UMDF competitions and championships of Ukraine, forming the national combined UMDF team of Ukraine to participate in IDO European and world championships. Every trainer and dancer has the possibility to reach maximum of heights in their development. We conduct workshops and master-classes, as well as competitions of different status, i.e. clubs', regional, all-Ukrainian, rating, international competitions, championships and cups of Ukraine.
In 2007 the official IDO event in Belly Dance at first is to be held in Khmelnytskyy city, namely World Cup among Juniors and European Championship among adults. 
In UMDF there is already a ready team of organizers of traditional competitions, conducted on the highest organizational level. They are: "Drohobych-Meringa" in Drohobych (organizers Ihor and Natalya Franchuk), "Lviv-Lider" in Lviv (organizers Irena and Oleg Bous), "UKR-Dance" in Ternopil (organizer Pavlo Boyko), "Mykolayiv-Pasadena" in Mykolayiv (organizers Katerina Alekseyeva and Yuriy Vdovychenko), "Flamingo-Star" in Khmelnytskyy (organizers Serhiy Kuryk and Hennadiy Fedosov), "Generation" (organizer Olha Klimenko), "Jet-dance" (organizer Henadiy Fedosov), "Cherkasy-Expresiya" in Cherkasy (organizers Viktoriya and Mykola Kovalenko), "UKR-modern-dance" in Kyiv (organizers Irena and Oleg Bous), "Zirky Arabata" (organizer Pavlo Boyko). Championships of Ukraine in HipHop, Disco, Dance Show, Disco Show, Break Dance, Electric Boogie, Belly Dance, were conducted in Ternopil, Khmelnytskyy, Cherkasy and Kyiv. The best dancers were selected on the basis of their results to participate in the championships of Ukraine and world.
Due to great popularity and support of state institutions of Kherson region, the summer competition of UDB at Azov sea "Zirky Arabata" will be held as an international festival already in 2007. The state administration of Kherson region has registered the event in the calendar of events in 2007 at the Ministry of Family and Youth of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. Permanent sponsor of competitions Mr. Vyacheslav Zhytskyy, the director general of "Energia" pension in Henichesk, guaranteed the reception of five best dancers in each (!) nomination of all UMDF rating styles for 21 days of Azov seaside vacations for 30% of cost only.
I appreciate UDB Presidium's full payment for all trips of best dancers in hip-hop, disco and break dance during years 2002-2005 for European and world championships (Germany, Poland, and Slovakia) and I guarantee that this good tradition continues in UMDF as well.
